This book picks up where the last one left off. There are a few obstacles along the way to reaching Oden's Ford, which is where a large portion of the book is spent at the school. This book will appeal to readers who like a book setup with a boarding school, it has a lot of magic, mystery, adventure and action. I did find the first half of the book a bit slow, but it makes up for it in the second half.
