Deeply moving, this book illustrates the tragedy, strength and limits a human being can go to in a realistic manner.
The 2 heroines are presented struggling through an environment of war, both outside and inside their own household. The threats they face and the tragedies that occur are often heartbreaking.
The book is beautifully written and makes you appreciate times of peace and the importance of equal rights for women, as well as having a loving family beside.
