“Why did I wait so long to start this trilogy?” was the only thing that was going through my mind as I was reading this book. I was in desperate need for some dark romance and oh my lord, this delivered.
Winter Cavanagh is placed in an unlikely predicament when a handsome, rugged stranger offers her an odd predicament—to be his wife. Homeless, poor, and starving, Winter agrees and is taken to Adrian Volkov’s home as his wife. But when things start to happen in the home, feelings start to brew, Winter is pretty sure she’s stepped into something a lot bigger than what she was expecting.
This book delivered on steam, angst, suspense, and my heart tugged so hard for Jeremy. This was filled with little adorable moments from Adrian, Winter and Jeremy, and I loved seeing their relationships slowly grow.
There were definitely a couple “what the fuck” moments that had me on the edge of my seat, and kept me reading more. I loved their story and picked up the second book so quick after this!
Can’t wait to dive more into Adrian and Lia’s story!
