I have owned this book for so long and I have finally read it and I loved it! I’ve read Uprooted and enjoyed it but I like this one even better. It reads like a fairytale and I loved the depiction of the Staryk and the demon. I also enjoyed the twist with the tsar’s character. I do wish the falling action/resolution was more written out as I felt the book ended very quickly after the climax. But I really enjoyed the story and will definitely read it again one day.
