The Omega Merger
by Roxy Collins
4 stars
I thought the ‘beta FMC is negotiating a merger between two billionaire Alpha companies, but her hidden/dormant omega nature is suddenly triggered’ premise would have a lot of cheesy business pantomime, but I was pleasantly surprised.
What I really liked: the different take on omegaverse (first time I’d read about ‘designation switches’) and the light dusting of angst (of the “am I wanted for me or for my designation?” variety). Also, the steam. That first scene on the terrace. 🥵And even though there were 5 MMCs, they were all distinct and easy to keep track of (at least personality/character wise, I did feel like a diagram was needed to keep track of some of the sexual choreography).
What could have been better: The external plot somehow got OTT *and* kind of lost steam towards the end, but I guess it did its job, which was to get everyone in a room and having sexy times.
Will I read more books by Roxy Collins? Yes, yes I will.
