Reading this book felt a bit like a somewhat warm hug by a new friend - one you do not know but will come to love. The story is simple, the characters all charming. More than anything, the setting of the book - the world it takes place in - made me full of longing for a good world. Considering that 'dark edgy' stories seem to hang around in every place, it felt good to read about simple hope.
