A Taste for Murder by Claudia Bishop

1.0

I listened to the audiobook and the review is for that edition. The story itself is mediocre. With the exception of the protagonist, almost every character was unlikable and grating--most particularly the bizarre hotel maid. The postscript ending was nonsensical. The audiobook narration was perhaps the worst I've ever encountered. Listening to hours of over the top, whiny narration would be bad enough but hours of vocal fry is intolerable. I was mildly curious about the identity of the murderer so I stuck it out but it was tortuous. Avoid this edition.
