This was delightfully witchy, and I loved the range of characters and kinds of witchiness. We didn’t get a deep look at any of them but Lucky, our protagonist, but I found all of the snippets of witch’s lives to be compelling. And the villain was completely hate worthy, ugh. Not surprisingly (since it’s a story of witches) this was definitely about the ways that white capitalist patriarchy oppresses and betrays women, while convincing them that it was their idea all along. And it’s about the ways women have and continue to fight that system.
