Under the Banner of Heaven

I have never had more outbursts while reading a book in my life. I shouted in disbelief so many times. Jon Krakauer is one of my favorite nonfiction writers (I don’t typically reach for this genre, but every once in a while the mood strikes), and this book met my already high expectations for his work. Very in depth look at fundamental Mormonism, but also reflective of the faults of organized religion in general. Would highly recommend. If you watched Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey on Netflix or are super into true crime (Elizabeth Smart abduction, the Lafferty murders), it’ll be a satisfying read.
