 Its fastfood. pleasant to read, but a bit predictable.  characterisation of protagonist and other cast is shallow, but not to the point that it detracts from the enjoyment if you read it for the adventure, worldbuilding and power-progression fantasy of the main character.
I enjoyed it, but likely not enough that it will carry me through the sequels.
