I feel like I’ve had a run of bad book reads of late, and I just don’t have the patience for this anymore. I’m pretty sure I’ve read a book several years ago by this author, but I definitely don’t remember the type of overblown writing that permeated literally every page of this book. The prose and wording was just so non-stop overly dramatic, it became eye-roll inducing and utterly boring at the same time - and since this is a 418 page book, that’s a lot of bad writing to slog through. This is another one of those reads where I’m mystified by all the 5-star ratings because to me this was just plain bad.
