I wasn't sure if I wanted to read this book because...college and a book based around sports (not that I don't like a good football game!). I was afraid the writing would sound more adult than it should be given how some authors give an adult "voice" to younger characters and I just don't like that. But this book was a pleasant surprise!
The hockey aspect wasn't overdone; the voice of the characters was right on! It was cute with many laughs, sexy and steamy, heavy in parts, and just a good romance read. I loved the banter between Garrett and Hannah, as well as Hannah and her roommate and friends. Hannah was a down- to-earth character who cared for her family and all they had done for her vs the typical "party girl" seen on most campuses today. I even admired Garrett for his tenacity in working on his career goals with a side of jock/frat boy that wasn't heavy on the jock/frat boy. I will be continuing on with the series to see how it goes and hoping I run into Garrett and Hannah in those books!
