3 1/2 Unusual style of writing but I quite enjoyed it. Very thought provoking on many social issues linked to gang culture. I found it difficult reading the narrators manner of speech and he was very long winded! so much so that I started to struggle reading it. Persevered though and glad I did. I have to say I have difficulty relating to much of what was described having never experienced anything like it. I guess that is part of the point though.. You can't know what drives people unless you have lived in their shoes and there is still much discrimination in the world.
