4.25⭐️
2🌶️
This was a solid 4.25⭐️ for me!
Was it a completely original storyline, no! But did it leave its mark, absolutely
Every now and then I need to low stakes romance to settle my mind and this really did that!
Violet was so relatable in so many ways, a girl just trying to find her way battling anxiety and not feeling good enough!!
And Chord was the perfect mix of grumpy and stern without being an arsehole!
This book made me feel so many emotions, which really solidified it in the 4 star category, when Violet got the opportunity for Milan, and did what she had to do with chord, my heart broke in two
Also, those countdowns at the start of the chapters broke me at the end😂
The only thing that stopped this from being in the 5⭐️ range was the third-act breakup (I HATE them), the use of the nickname “wallflower” just gave me the ick halfway through, I wish there was more hockey to be honest😂 I love seeing a man in his element 🤷🏻♀️ it just seemed to skip over what could be important plot points (like an on-ice interaction between Cook and Chord) and the ending felt a little rushed, but overall, I highly recommend ☺️
