I think my expectations were too high for this book because of how much I’ve enjoyed Jackson’s books previously.
There were a couple of things that like really got on my nerves firstly that it was like set in America and that the audiobook was American and the accent of the British characters was like atrocious. Secondly I think listening to thrillers like is a specific experience. I think you have to do the audiobook very well and this one just wasn’t that good and I don’t know. It felt way to YA in a bad way but there were good twists and turns and like I didn’t guess every single thing but I was able to kind of suss out what was gonna happen, so yeah.
