A great book and series.  I read them in chronological order (not in publication order), so ended with this one and enjoyed it for the same reasons I enjoyed the others.  Each book gives a unique look at a part of the Patternist timeline and adds to the world.  Speaking of, Butler is a master of using hints and tidbits and glimpses to create the shadow of an enormous world looming behind the characters, without delving into exposition or tedious description.  Each book in the series, including this one, leaves you wanting more of the Patternist world.  Fantastic, as usual.
