The River We Remember by William Kent Krueger
3.0
That is a lot of drama for a little town! This was a well written whodunnit…3.5 stars for plotline and pacing. Characters weren’t as rich as some of William Kent Krueger’s other books. All around tragic story of how hatred destroys everything. Post WWII Minnesota, a local sheriff has to make sense of a mysterious death of a unliked local man and unearths all kinds of terrible truths about the town’s residents. Trigger warning for SA, murder (human and dog), suicide, racism, and gun violence. In the end, justice was served in its own way…but lordy Noah Bluestone was just trying to live his quiet life and just couldn’t get peace
