"A Nightmare is nothing but a dream gone sick... And I can do anything in a dream!" (page 533)

This book absolutely blew me away. While this is the Stephen Chbosky that wrote The Perks of Being a Wallflower, this is NOT the same Stephen Chbosky. Brilliantly creepy, intelligent without being academic, and a story that will stick in the back of my mind with every whisper of the wind.

I listened to the audiobook while reading my print copy (I tend to do this with longer books because my attention span is not so great), which was beyond phenomenal. The print version of Imaginary Friend is a solid 4-4.5 stars, but narrated by Christine Lakin, the audiobook is easily 5 stars. The voice fluctuations, tones, sound effects blew me away and made me truly feel like I was watching the story play out on screen.
