Sammy is a single mom to two rambunctious boys and she’s trying navigate this new single mom status in New York City. Sammy has caught the eyes of two men and although she feels like her life is complicated enough she’s unsure if she should throw dating into the mix just yet. She finally relents and goes on a date with Gavin and good looking business man she knows from the restaurant she works at. She’s not sure if she feels the sparks, but when out with him she gets a call that one of her sons is on the way to the hospital with a broken arm. When she gets there she has an encounter with Dr. Noah who will be in surgery with her son. She feels sparks with him, but Gavin interrupts them. This story goes on to have some twists I did not see coming. One of the men turns out to be a jerk and the other one has a heart of gold. As with any Max Monroe book, there are laughs and fun cameos. This book is one of my favorites and I loved it.
