Knowing this book was aimed at a younger audience, I still felt so many emotions while reading rhis. I didn’t read the series when it initially came out, but I’m glad I gave it a chance.
Percy and his friends take us on a wild journey, experiencing hardship and severe loss along the way. You start to form a connection to these characters and feel the pain they are going through. Then you remember that they’re just kids and the pain hits a lot harder.
Riordan’s writing style is captivating and draws you directly into the world. I can’t wait to continue this journey with these amazing characters. I know we will suffer a lot more along the way, but I’m looking forward to a proper ending.
