This book is incredible!! I'm so glad Potoline recommended it to me. I laughed out loud countless times (even crying from laughter several of those times). Dumas' dry humor is top notch, and the warmth radiating from her family made me want nothing more than to go meet them all and talk over some delicious Persian food. The food descriptions in here will make your mouth water..don't read when hungry hahah
There were also chapters that touched my heart and helped me understand the immigrant experience in America more clearly. I loved that we got to see the change in Iranian immigrants' experiences before and after political upheaval.
This was an amazing book! I plan to pick it up as a physical copy (this first time was library) and to pick up her second book ASAP.
