Path of Destruction

adventurous
dark
mysterious
medium-paced
A mixed bag. Some interesting lore to add to the Jedi/Sith, but at times repetitive and a bit slow. It wasn't a book that I really looked forward to picking up or had a hard time putting down...it wasn't a chore to get through, just not one that couldn't wait to get back to. With the ratings & hype I was hoping this would be on par with Timothy Zahn's Thrawn Trilogy (not sure how this book is rated higher than Zahn's). While Zahn was able to capture the tone, feeling, and language of Star Wars, Karphshyn's felt more like a separate story - a spin off that lacks the feel of the original 3 movies.
I'll give the series one more book to see if my feelings change, but this might be one I set down after book 2.
