I love a good portal fantasy and for the most part I really enjoyed this but events towards the end really left a bad taste in my mind.

This is the second time that I've noticed in Kay's work where the prettiest girl has the saddest storyline with an element of sexual trauma and that is not my jam at all.

But the first three quarters were great so I'll probably read on in the trilogy. I especially loved Dave's journey so far.
