Canadian Confederate Cruiser: The Story of the Steamer Queen Victoria
by John G. Langley
A well-written book, and considering there's not much info about the steamer Queen Victoria (not even a photo), Mr. Langley does a great job of making a complete book about Canadian confederation, and the ship's role in transporting and entertaining the delegates and guests of the Charlottetown Conference in 1864. Also quite interesting is the story of the ship's loss and the salvation of the ship's bell, which ended up in a small town in Maine. And the resolute Mainers would not give it up!
