• i just did not really connect with any of the characters here
• like no one was a huge asshole but i just didn’t find myself caring too much about them and got annoyed with them pretty easily
• there also was a massive power imbalance between the two MMCs where the more submissive one had absolutely no backbone and was very childish which just put me off as a big ick
• there was some alright worldbuilding but also some stuff just didn’t make much sense like with pack hierarchies and also logic-wise like if you’re kept in a literal shed for years of your life how are you able to then just know basic human etiquette things ??
• idk a lot of my annoyance doesn’t have a large amount of rationality this book just wasn’t for me ig!
