The President's Hat by Antoine Laurain

3.0

Hard to classify book about a man who is excited to have the president of France seated at a table next to him at a restaurant. When the president leaves his hat behind, the man takes it and proceeds to count some fortunate events in his life to the hat. The book follows changes in the lives of several people who come in contact with the hat. It's a light-hearted, positive little book full of references I didn't quite get, as I didn't live in France in the 1980's.
