As an anthology, the stories vary in quality, but the common thread of villains works well. It allows each author to explore a character from their own series, and includes a short introduction to each piece so the reader is able to catch on fairly quickly.
The 2 authors that I was interested in, Jim Butcher and Kelley Armstrong, were at the beginning of the book but I decided to read the whole thing. I wouldn't say I will rush to buy books by the other writers, but I will see what series my local library has.
