“I don’t write because I think I have something to say. I write because if I don’t, everything feels even worse.”

The story centers on Casey Peabody. She is dealing with the death of her mother and paying off her student loans. While waitressing in Harvard Square, she is trying to finish the book that she had been writing for six years. She then, falls in love with two men and can't decide with whom she wanted to be with.

I'm sorry, I don't really understand the hype for this book. The characters appeared flat for me. The first part of the book were pretty much about waitressing and the next half was about dating. Her grief over her mother's death had been present in the beginning but it suddenly got lost in all that was happening and then resurfaced just towards the end. The main character was not likeable. I was not convinced with the emotions she was feeling because I don't think she was really feeling all of the issues that she was going through. I almost DNF'd but I keep on holding out because I thought by the end there would be a redeeming quality in this book. I was really bored all throughout of it. The romance has no chemistry or whatsoever. I didn't really feel how this was all 'love'. I think it was all lust at some point...?

I did not hate it but I don't think I will be recommending this to anyone.
