the review from brian evenson on the back of this book reads: “a master of the strange story. here, things almost happen, and the weight of their almost happening hangs over the narrative like a threat.” this is the truest review i have come across out of all the books i have read. it sums this book up perfectly .
if i could describe this book in one word, it would be “unsettling”. this book is not frightening, or scary, or creepy, it is a peculiar collection of short stories that makes you aware of your surroundings and forces you to the edge of your seat.
it’s good ,,, really .
