Toxic Love by Blood Bound Books, Kristopher Triana

5.0

Wow. That was an amazing book. I was expecting an overdone shock fest that is seen too often with extreme horror. I was proved wrong. Sure, it was shocking, but it was done so well with a great, twisty story and was not overdone. The content straddles the line between mainstream and extreme horror as the more gross stuff fades out. I am a bit desensitized, so your opinion may differ. The pacing started out a little slow, then gradually picked up until the book's second half, where it became a roller coaster. Crime scene cleanup, a messed up sexy young woman, mobsters, hitmen, detectives. This book packed a lot into this quick read that kept my attention. I didn't lose interest. I recommend it, and it's a true 5-star rating from me.
