santiagoprado 's review for:
For Whom the Bell Tolls
by Ernest Hemingway
This book is great throughout. But there's one chapter (and I won't spoil anything) that everybody that has read the book can point out as beautifully written and heart-wrenching while still being as economical with words as Hemingway is. The best part about this book is that it has the first female character that Hemingway does not under-write. It deals with such technique about its mature themes (war, death, suicide) that it's, at the same time, easy to read and emotionally appealing.
I really recommend this one.
