This did not give except that one part where Tamlin was being an asshole at that meeting. I was clutching my pearls then for real. Other than that I just wasn’t as excited for this one while reading as I was the other one. I do love the love element for Rhys and Feyre, but for the others I am a bit confused. The random pairing for Ameren, the weird dynamic for Lucien and Elain, and the blowup between Feyre and Mor about her situation. It is all so interesting. The battle and its conclusion was so annoying.
Letting both Ameren and Rhys come back. Don’t write in a death scene if you aren’t willing to stand on it. The only coming back from the dead story worth it is Feyre’s and we are well past that.
Also, Elain and Nesta are so dang useless. Nesta refused to even get the most basic training from Cassian because she has finally figured out she can feel for once? I’m still so over the dynamic she has for Elain too. For real, what is that about? Feyre literally risked her life for you for years and all you have for her is disdain. I don’t get it. Then with Elain, she has to be picked up everywhere she goes and can’t stomach anything. Ok, that’s fine but stay your ass at the house. There’s a war going on. I think maybe it is time I take a break from this series as I feel like it is losing its touch with me.
