Planet of Exile by Ursula K. Le Guin

3.0

Le Guin's 2nd SF novel feels like an old school pulp novel plot-wise. Mildly disappointing because of a so-so plot and paper thin plot (although there is a strong female protagonist--something of a rarity in early Le Guin), but Le Guin's prose, as usual, is heads and shoulders over that of many of the SF writers of the mid 60s (and even now, now that I think of it.) One of Le Guin's strengths is her world building and her ability at that is on full display here.
