Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard

5.0

Pretty Little Liars is a book written by Sara Shepard in 2006.Pretty little Liars is the first book in the series with the same name, today there are 12 books in these series, but the author plans on writing one last book. The series had been #1 New York Times bestselling and now has become into a hit ABC Family original series.
The series follows the story of the teenagers Aria, Spencer, Hannah and Emily whose friend disappeared three years ago. The four teenagers hide some secrets and a mysterious person called A seem to know each one, and send e-mails, letters and text messages to the girls in order for them to know. The only person who knew about some of those secrets were their vanished friend Allison. So, is Allison trying to mess up with the girls? Or is someone else behind those messages?
The book is exhilarating and absorbing, while you are reading you want to know more. Although being a fiction story It is very realistic, I mean the girls move around the real world, they use mobile phones and computers and the internet, they go to class and they keep secrets like every teenager. I think that’s the reason why I love this book, because, let’s admit it, everyone keeps secrets and the most important thing everyone like to know other people secrets, that is what gossip is based on. However no one likes their secrets to be known, especially when you don't know who knows them. And that's when the creepy part comes out, someone knowing everything about you and your "friends" makes the story even more nail-biting.
All things considered, this is a really gripping book that lived up all my expectations. However I wouldn’t recommend to anyone younger than 15 because It can be a bit too much for younger people. I recommend this book to everyone that likes gossip and mystery
