I Kissed Shara Wheeler by Casey McQuiston

3.0

Was ready to write this one off as bad for the first 300 pages (the protagonist is so annoying imo, everything she did REALLY bothered me). HOWEVER the last 50 pages saved it. The description of the queer community/chosen family they have by the end was devastating in that why-wasn’t-my-high-school-experience-like-that way. If you love Heartstopper for the sweet depictions of newfound queerness and community, then you’ll probably like this.
