The Sons of Echidna by Athena M. Bliss

Okay, this was bonkers, but in a very endearing way! An ambitious story of dysfunctional family dynamics, toxic romances, monsters, a very unique take on shifters, Greek myth elements, intriguing sci-fi elements... It sounds like a lot on paper, and it could be a bit confusing at times, but the characters were fascinating and the pace keeps you going. Plus I really enjoyed the flash forward at the start (that I had to reread to make sense of, when I finished the book) and the gorgeous sketches throughout really helped bring the characters to life.
I'm definitely looking forward to finding out what happens next!
If I had to nitpick anything, it's that there's a bit of head-hopping happening at times (for instance, we may be in Lucy's POV but we get glimpses of what Klein or Ryan or Aris are thinking) but it's not too extreme to interfere with the flow of the story. Plus, I read an ARC, so this may even be something that has been removed from the final version of the book.
All and all, a very exciting read, recommend it!
P.S. Thank you to the author for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
