Did not finish book. Stopped at 59%.

I was having a hard time getting into the story with the writing bc I dont think it meshes well with me, I found it v jarring and janky, tho I persevered with it bc the story was interesting and Id been excited about reading it for a long time so I was very intrigued, but I DnF'ed it bc it rubs me up the wrong way that Nothing is "barely 17" and the Sorceress is what?? 100 years or so old 
Also Kirin is a spoiled brat and pissed me off more than I could deal with so yeah

I rlly loved Sky and the Selegan River spirit tho, I just dont think I can bring myself to read more
