netsrik330 's review for:
The London Séance Society
by Sarah Penner
I enjoyed the way the story was told, with chapters alternating from a third-person perspective to a first-person perspective as needed. While the reveals were not always as grand as intended, the movement of the story allowed the reader to know without knowing. All in all, I recommend this for anyone who enjoys the history of the Victorian era, as well as has an interest in the occult, serious or otherwise. It is not scary, but the descriptions of the seances aid in understanding the culture and importance of them at the time.
