“It feels good to be good at something.”

Rob Hart’s brutal, and surprisingly introspective, “Assassins Anonymous” dumps the reader headfirst into the international world of contract killing and the measures a small group takes to leave it. Intense scenes of action and violence are relieved by Hart’s snarky wit and calculated depiction of a masculinity similar to Daniel Craig’s “Bond”: fallible and dynamic. Combining the tenants of The Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, and the tenacity of a chainsaw, Hart’s story evolves from “John Wick” fanfiction into one of change, humility, and personal growth. What risks will you take, and what promises can you keep, in the search for absolution? Probably not this guys’, but that’s a good thing!

4.75/5 Daisy Dumptruck is way too neurotic for me to cart all over the world, running from my enemies and examining my role in accountability in order to ascend into a higher evolved slot in personhood but…a guy can dream.
