Stay Sexy & Don't Get Murdered: The Definitive How-To Guide by Georgia Hardstark, Karen Kilgariff
3.0
This book was a good read and very funny at times while also being very insightful. While I really enjoyed the book, I thought that those who are unfamiliar with the podcast hosts might be missing the essence of the book as a whole. I feel like I got to really know Karen and Georgia more intimately through their words but I don’t know if someone who just randomly picks this book up would feel the same. That is the biggest critique I have of this book. Although there are plenty of murderinos out there that this issue doesn’t matter in the big picture.
I truly like the “advice” they gave. It made me do a more in-depth reflection on certain aspects of my love in a way that I don’t feel guilty about (which is a feeling I get when I read anything related to self-help which is why I don’t read it hardly at all). At a time in my life that is a monumental time of change as you move in to the next decade of age, it was comforting. The book held the same go get em attitude with a touch of learn from my experiences that the podcast has when Karen and Georgia tell any of their stories.
I highly recommend giving this book a read.
