Well this was scary, was not expecting that! It was a pretty enjoyable novella with a fascinating magic system (shocker). Madam Silence was a really interesting character, it's not often you have a middle-aged mom as the protagonist who has quite the dark side to her. Overall, I enjoyed it, it was a nice and quick read but it definitely isn't something I would return to.
