If you're looking for a spooky read, this is it. I would argue that it's perfect for November too. I would give this a 4.5-star rating overall. The magic system and worldbuilding is very easy to follow and not overwhelming. There are multiple POVs to the story so if you dislike that, then this may be a tough read for you. I personally enjoy books written this way. There was just a little lacking in terms of the main character's relationship, but I'm hoping that is flushed in the next installment which I will be reading 100%. If you like The Witcher, I would highly recommend you give this a try.
