Was hesitant to get into this author cus I’ve heard mixed reviews, but I devoured this book. Although it was slow at times, I always found myself curious about what comes next. Interesting plot with a bit of a twist I didn’t see coming. Maybe I’ll give Malibu rising a try next. Though a white woman writing the perspective of a poc was unnecessary and a bit uncomfy at times
