Maybe This Time by Kasie West
4.0

Yay my first read of 2021 that wasn't for school!! Lol.

Yet another Kasie West book. This girl. So many YA romances and there hasn't been one that I've read by her that hasn't been at least a 3 star read. She did it again with this one.

I really liked the way this book was told. It took place over the course of a year at 9 different events in a town. Each event had it's own chapters and that was the whole book. I really liked this and it worked really well. West did a really good job of making the time between events feel like it had passed, but not making it confusing or making you feel like you had missed something as a reader. It was really well done.

I also really liked the characters. I thought the main character, Sophie, was lowkey annoying or dumb at times but overall not too bad. She also had some good character growth in my opinion, so even though I started the book out not really loving her she grew on my by the end. The same thing happened with our love interest, Andrew. All the other supporting characters were pretty likeable most of the time as well.

This book wasn't my favorite by West, but I did really like it a lot. It was pretty cute and also had some good messages for a sappy YA book haha. Overall, I really liked this one. Kasie West has done it again. If you like any of her other books, I'm sure you would love this one. I recommend.

Okay, that's all for this review. Stay tuned as I reread the To All The Boys series by Jenny Han in honor of the 3rd movie coming out!! Lol ok bye
