kinda fun but entirely incoherent worldbuilding. and there are “twists” that are supposed to explain and excuse things that aren’t they absolutely don’t. unless they’re just plain idiotic. to be fair, most of the characters are shown to be imbeciles on page, even though the text doesn’t really treat them as such.
plus an initial love interest who had me grimacing every time he was on the page. and you have to sit through many a sex scene before you get to the real love interest.
