Synopsis: It is the year 2025 and the government is making everyone 17 and over get a bar code tattoo. This tattoo holds all your information like your credit card, driver's license, and much more. Kayla doesn't want the tattoo. The tattoo has destroyed her family and she doesn't know why. A big adventure unfolds with Kayla looking for answers and running for her own life. 



Overall this novel was an ok dystopian novel. In the beginning of the novel I felt that you jump into the action right away and don't get a full description of what's going on. I wish the author slowed down and explained more about everything that was going on. I think the concept of the novel wasn't the most original idea, but I still thought that it was good. The characters weren't the most complex characters ever, but I don't think that they were flat either. The romance in this book wasn't very good at all. It felt out of place in the novel and very rushed. The action was ok, but it kept you on your toes. It definitely was face paced.



Overall, this was just an ok novel. I will read the sequel to this book to find out what happens.
