This book had all the right elements of a good Romantasy it was just poorly executed. You could read the first 150 pages and the last 100 pages and you would not miss a single thing.
Nothing that happened surprised me and I read through to the end just to confirm what I already knew. The ‘romance’ was a bit gross as well, the spicy scenes fell flat and were a bit uncomfortable to read.
I already have the second one so I’ll give it a go to see if the story develops into anything worthwhile, but I’m in no rush.
