The Queer Principles of Kit Webb
by Cat Sebastian
lighthearted
mysterious
fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven:
A mix
Strong character development:
Yes
Loveable characters:
Yes
Diverse cast of characters:
No
Flaws of characters a main focus:
Yes
Cute characters. Love the fencing and the cozy criminal underworld angle.
I wish we had more time in character's heads. Characters make some life changing decisions that are supposed to demonstrate growth, but I don't feel like I understand how they got from point A to point B.
Also, it's crazy to me that Percy doesn't reply to Kit's speech about his distaste of gentry. I feel like that being a conversation instead of a monologue could have made Percy's later decisions more believable.
This book was nice, but I like some of Sebastian's work more.
