I am not diabetic, but I found this book and Bernard's low fat/high carb/lower glycemic vegan diet/lifestyle plan to be intensely intriguing! I love that he prescribes a holistic nutritional based resolution while still emphasizing the importance of conventional medicine in some cases of diabetes. Beyond that, I'm excited to try a few of the recipes and nutritional suggestions that I learned from Dr. Bernard in this book!

Five stars.

A must-read for anyone interested in living a healthier, more plant based lifestyle!
