This book was such a wild ride. It’s book 2 in the Guardians of the Maiden series, and it did NOT disappoint! It’s got a very Lord of the Rings meets ACOTAR/FBAA vibe, and the world building is incredible—from mages, werewolves, and Celestials to orcs, trolls and elves, I love how the author introduces so many magical beings and places throughout the story.
It’s the slowest of slow burn romances (seriously, it was frustrating and painful but I loved every second of it), and has so many of my favorite tropes. Like ALL OF THEM (no spoilers
